The Egg from planet Apumba and later the all mighty creature on planet Earth.


Brief Presentation:
Planet Apumba has been contaminated with a new chemical, every single creature is sick except Egg. Scientists decide to send their only safe Egg to another planet to keep her safe from the dangers of this new contaminant in Apumba. After studying their planetary maps and information, they decide that planet Earth is their best choice for their precious Egg. They send Egg in a spaceship. Planet Apumba is about to come to an end and everybody knows it. Egg is that only survivor. Egg is dropped in Egypt. There is an abundance of vegetation because it is right next to the Nile River. Egg loves water, so she is calmed because she can hear the water run. Egg will meet many new friends, who will teach her about life on planet Earth. Egg will also face different dangers tough, but she manages to be safe and grows into a beautiful, noble creature. She will resemble all the living things on planet earth. Her name is Apumba in honor of her home planet. Apumba looks like different animals and living beings in one unique creature. Every body likes Apumba and thanks her for her arrival. She reminds each one how unique they are each and everyone of them.

Music of circus or Jazz (Mile Davis) while we ask people to take a sit.

Just Before the curtain opens.

In a voice that could be like “The Untouchables” –fifties style-

Voice: “In a far away planet called Apumba, scientists are launching a spaceship. Their planet has been contaminated and everybody is sick except for an egg. This egg needs to be saved so they send Egg to planet Earth.”

There are sounds of robots and a spaceship being released. All these sounds are like in a strange language.

First Act

The space-ship passes, there’s thunder and lightning. Music related to space and Flashes (with the camera)

(another voice) “we send you in our name, be good and be happy we love you Egg and your name will be Apumba as our dearest planet.”

Second Act



Egg is lying on the grass and corn field. Egg is feeling confident about his new life on planet Earth. Even though she is still an egg, she knows where she is from and why was she sent there. She also knows her name; Apumba, which is after the name of her planet. Even though Apumba is not quite sure about her mission in planet Earth she has an enthusiastic spirit that will drive her constant fun adventures.

-Oh I can hear water…I love water….. I love water dearly. Oh! The sky is blue too! Oh flowers, many flowers…….

-Cleo (as in Cleopatra) is a pig who lives in Cairo, Egypt. She is taking a walk by the Nile River. She enjoys smelling the flowers and eating corn. Cleo discovers Egg. She is very surprised to see Egg, a colorful-shiny creature.

Act Three


-Cleo: “Oh WOW! What a lovely egg! Pretty Egg! Hello! Hi there! Who are you?”

-Egg: Hellouuu! I am an Egg from planet Apumba. It’s very nice to meet you! What is your name?

-Cleo: My name is Cleo. I am a pig.

-Egg: Oh a pig! That’s great! Is this your home?

Cleo: yes, I live here by the water. I like to eat corn and play around the big river!

-Egg: That sounds nice. You are a happy pig!

-Cleo: Yes! How did you get here?

-Egg: I was dropped by a spaceship from Apumba.

Cleo: OH wow! So You are a creature from outer space!

-Egg: “that’s who I am and tell me what is to be a pig?”

-Cleo: Oh! OK! Well……..you see ( oinks a little) I’m just a regular pig……I guess I like to eat and sleep and play…..and sleep and eat and play…..I guess that’s what I do. And I like it!

-Egg: “That sounds nice, I like it too!”

-Cleo: “hey Egg and why were you dropped here in this planet?”

-Egg: “My planet Apumba was contaminated by severe pollution. I was the only one who was not contaminated. The only way I could survive was to fly away into another planet……and that’s’ why I was dropped in your planet. I am the only survivor from my planet Apumba!

-Cleo: “oh how sad you were the only one!

-Egg: “Yes, all the living creatures in Apumba are very sick. I am the only one who is not sick”

-Cleo: “Welcome to your new home!

-Egg: “Thank you Cleo! I want to be a pig like you! When I step out of the shell I want to be just like you to play and smell the flowers”.

Act four

Alfredo comes by, singing and jumping. Alfredo is a cool monkey. He just wishes trees wouldn’t be cut as much. His home has been reduced in a little area where monkeys can’t have enough space for living.

Cleo: Hey Alfredo! Come! Look at the Egg, look at Apumba

Alfredo: Well! Hellouu Apumba! Nice to meet you!

Egg: “Hi Alfredo! I am an Egg and I will be a creature one day.

Alfredo: “really? What kind of creature?”

Egg: “I am not sure, maybe I will be like you”

Alfredo: “I am a monkey”

Egg: “What is it like to be a monkey?”

Alfredo: “oh it’s a lot of fun. We hang out most of the time….I just wish we could have more trees though…..”

Egg: “I wish there would be more trees!” When I grow up I want to plant trees! And then hang out from them with you.”

Alfredo: “I will teach you how to be a monkey”

Egg: “Yes teach me how to be a monkey and I will plant many trees”

Alfredo: “OK just do: huhuhuh and move your arms and legs.huhuhuhuhu (this is an opportunity to interact with kids about being a monkey-) ------------sounds of a monkey

Act five---moon and egg
Music –maybe Bjork. backscreen just a denim wall

Egg: “ I will have fun with you but I am not a monkey” (starts to get sad) “I miss my family and all my friends………”

Moon Lady (Moon Ly) is hanged from a corner. Music FROSTY from Bjork on album Vespertine)

Moon Ly: “My dear Egg, I am here to be with you whenever you feel sad”

Egg: “Moon Ly you are here too! I can see you”

Moon Ly: “ yes dear Egg, I am very happy I can see you too”

Egg: “I am sad Moon Ly, I am a little scared”

Moon Ly: “Why are you scared Egg?”

Egg: “Because I am not like any creature on Earth. I don’t have a family….. I am not like anybody here….”

Moon Ly: “dear Egg, you will come out from the shell soon”

Egg: “really?”

Moon Ly: “yes! and you will be a beautiful and strong creature”

Egg: “Am I going to be like Cleo the pig?”

Moon Ly: “you will not look like Cleo your friend the pig BUT you will be able to play and smell the flowers just like her”

Egg: “SUPER! ….but…..Am I going to be like Alfredo, the monkey?”

Moon Ly: “you will not look like Alfredo, your friend the monkey BUT you will be able to hang from the trees just like him”

Egg: “so how will I look like?”

Moon Ly: “you will look like all the animals and insects at the same time”.

Egg: “Oh WOW!” Curtains close




Act six
Creature and bird

Sounds of birds.

Egg is now a creature. He is waking up, stretching and recognizing herself. She stands and she can smell the flowers and jump into the trees.

Birdy: Good morning!

Apumba: “Good morning!

Bird: “Who are you?”

Egg-creature: “I am an eeegggg…….” (looks confused that his body is different now, he is not an egg anymore) I am not an egg anymore! I am …….. a….. well I don’t know………

Bird: “well you look like an elephant, no wait………… but you also look like an ant eater, oh…no wait you look like a ……bug! (oportunidad para preguntarle a los niños a quien se parece la creatura)

(Poner a la Cleo y Alfredo, se queda el pájaro con ellos)
Act seven

Apumba: “Hello my friends!”

Cleo: “Egg! you have become a beautiful animal!”

Alfredo: “yeah! You are grrrreat!....but wait a minute….what kind of animal are you?

Apumba: “I think I am a………a giraffe…but….I think I am an ant eater and…..an elephant…..or a bug………

Bird: “Maybe you will be like my cousin the owl who is big and can still fly”

Apumba: “I wish I was an owl so I could fly…”
(interact with kids- Do you want Apumba our new friend to fly?)

Man with wings: “Apumba, if you want to fly, I will give you as a special present”

Apumba: “really what is it?

Man with wings: “the magical ping wings.”

Apumba: “yes I like them! Thank you!”

Man with wings: “so you will never forget you are one of a kind, you are special!”

Bird: “Now you can fly”

Alfredo: “ and you can climb on trees”

Cleo: “and you can smell the flowers and play”

Apumba: “yes! Thanks to you!”

Moon Ly: “ Apumba you are a good friend and we all love you”

Apumba: “I love you all”
